Interfaith Invocation
For district events, joint meetings and gatherings of many faiths.
Let us pause for a moment of silence, each of us in our own way and according to our own faith.
(pause)
We give thanks for the gift of fellowship, and for the friends gathered here from many clubs, faiths and walks of life.
May we be grateful for what we have been given, and generous with what we can share.
May the work we do together bring hope to those in need, peace to our communities, and understanding among all people.
And may we leave this gathering better friends, and better servants of others, than when we arrived.
